Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for Level-2 (Group ‘C’) must meet one of the following educational requirements: (1) have passed the 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a government-recognized Education Board/Council/Institution. The 50% condition is relaxed for SC, ST, ESM, and PwBD candidates, and for candidates with a higher qualification from a UGC-recognized university; or (2) have passed 10th from a government-recognized Board along with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) / ITI approved by NCVT. A Diploma in Engineering is not considered an alternative higher qualification.

For Level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’), candidates must have passed 10th, or ITI, or an equivalent qualification, or hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Age Limit

The age of candidates will be reckoned as on 2027-01-01. For Level-2 (Group ‘C’), the age limit is 18 to 30 years for UR, with relaxation up to 3 years in the upper age limit for OBC and relaxation up to 5 years in the upper age limit for SC/ST. For Level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’), the age limit is 18 to 33 years for UR, and age relaxation is as per the extent of age relaxation criteria for OBC and SC/ST categories.

Additional age relaxation is available for certain categories, including serving Railway employees, Ex-servicemen, PwBD candidates, widows/divorced/judicially separated women, Quasi-Administrative office staff, and Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA), as detailed in the official notification.

How to Apply

  2. Go to the Notice Board and click the link for “Online/E-Application for Scouts & Guides Quota”.
  3. Select “New Registration” and complete the registration form.

Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in two main stages, followed by a medical examination for candidates recommended by the Recruitment Committee.
