Refund & Cancellation Policy

Neural Quiz Engine, operating at https://NQE.in, sells digital subscriptions and digital quiz sets. Because the value is delivered instantly and the content is consumable on download/access, all sales are generally final. We do however issue refunds in the specific scenarios described below so customers are protected against billing errors and service failures.
1. Plan subscriptions (Silver / Gold)
- Before first use: if you upgrade a plan and have not yet consumed any plan-only feature (no AI generations beyond the Free quota, no plan-gated marketplace unlocks, no quiz sharing), you may request a refund within 48 hours of payment.
- After first use: once you have used any plan-only feature, the subscription is non-refundable for the remainder of the billing period.
- Subscriptions do not auto-renew; you simply choose whether to renew at the end of each period. There is therefore no separate "cancellation" — letting your plan lapse is the cancellation.
2. Marketplace quiz purchases
- Free listings: nothing is charged, so refunds do not apply.
- Paid one-time listings: because the full set of questions becomes accessible immediately after purchase, paid listings are non-refundable except in the cases listed under "Eligible refund scenarios" below.
- Plan-gated listings: these unlock as part of your active plan and are covered by the plan refund rules above.
3. Eligible refund scenarios
We will refund you in full if:
- You were charged twice for the same plan or listing due to a payment-gateway error.
- The amount captured does not match the amount displayed at checkout.
- A purchased marketplace listing is materially defective — for example, the quiz set contains fewer questions than advertised, or the questions are unreadable due to a technical fault on our side — and we are unable to fix it within 7 days of your report.
- You were charged but your plan or listing was never activated within 7 business days, and our admin team confirms that the payment cannot be verified.
4. Non-refundable cases
- Change of mind after using the plan or accessing the purchased listing.
- AI-generated quizzes that you commissioned and have already received (the generation cost was incurred on our side at the moment you clicked Generate).
- Dissatisfaction with the difficulty, style, or topic of marketplace questions — please review the listing description, sample, and category before purchasing.
- Payments rejected by Razorpay after you submitted manual UPI screenshots that turned out to be invalid or unverifiable.
5. How to request a refund
- Email contact@nqe.in within the eligibility window with the subject line "Refund request — order #<your order id>".
- Include your registered email, the payment reference / Razorpay payment ID, the amount, and a short explanation of the issue.
- If applicable, attach a screenshot of the issue (e.g., the duplicate charge, the malformed quiz).
6. Processing time
Approved refunds are initiated on the original payment instrument through Razorpay. Once initiated:
- UPI / wallet refunds typically land within 2-5 business days.
- Card / netbanking refunds typically land within 5-7 business days, depending on your bank.
We will email you with the refund reference once it has been initiated. We do not charge any processing fee for refunds.
7. Pending payments & cancellations
If you submitted a manual UPI/QR screenshot that is still pending admin verification, you can cancel the request before it is approved by emailing us — no money will have been deducted from a Razorpay perspective, so there is nothing to refund. If the payment did reach us via UPI/IMPS, we will refund it to the same UPI ID once we confirm receipt.
