SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card 2026

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has begun issuing admit cards for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026, Tier 1. Candidates registered for the SSC CGL recruitment can use the official SSC website to download their hall ticket before their scheduled computer-based examination.

The Tier 1 examination is scheduled between 30 September and 30 October 2026. Admit cards are being made available online around two to three days before each candidate’s exam date, and the first release was for the 30 September examination. Candidates need their registration number and SSC login password to access the document.

The SSC CGL 2026 recruitment lists 10,731 Group B and Group C vacancies. The notification information provided does not give a post-wise or category-wise vacancy breakdown. A total of 28,52,665 candidates are expected to take the Tier 1 examination, which is being held at 141 centres across India in three shifts each day.

How to Apply

Applications are not being submitted through this admit-card notice. Registered candidates should use these steps to retrieve and print their Tier 1 hall ticket from the official portal:

1. Go to the Staff Selection Commission website at ssc.gov.in.
2. Select the Login or Register option at the top-right of the homepage.
3. Enter your registration number as the user name, your SSC password and the displayed captcha code.
4. Choose the login option to access your account.
5. Open the link for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 – Tier 1 Admit Card or Hall Ticket.
6. Check the displayed admit card, download it and print a clear copy to take to the examination centre.

The admit card is available online and is not sent by post. A mobile-phone display is not a substitute for the printed copy, as mobile phones are prohibited inside the examination centre.

Check your internet connection and try again after a short wait, as heavy traffic may slow the website. You can also attempt to log in at a less busy time, such as early morning or late at night, verify your registration number and password, use the Forgot Password option if needed, or try another browser after clearing its cache. Selection Process

The information in this notice covers the Tier 1 stage of the SSC CGL examination; it does not specify later recruitment stages. Tier 1 is a computer-based test scheduled in three shifts each day during the notified examination period. The candidate’s admit card gives their individual shift, reporting time, gate-opening and gate-closing times, and centre address. Reach the centre before the stated reporting and gate-closing times to allow for frisking, biometric verification and other formalities. Entry after the gate closes will not be allowed.

The provided examination details describe a 60-minute test with 100 objective multiple-choice questions carrying 200 marks. Each of the four sections has 25 questions for 50 marks, with 15 minutes allocated to each section. The reported pattern and qualifying marks are shown below; candidates should check their admit card and official SSC instructions for the applicable details.

The stated minimum qualifying marks are 30% for UR candidates, 25% for OBC and EWS candidates, and 20% for other candidates.

City slip, admit card and details to verify

The Exam City Intimation Slip is issued before the admit card and helps candidates plan travel by showing the exam city and, in some cases, the exam date. It is not an admit card and does not provide the exact centre address. Download the separate hall ticket for the centre address and the candidate-specific shift details.

After downloading the hall ticket, check the candidate’s name, photograph, signature, roll number, registration number, date of birth, category, exam date, shift and time, reporting time, gate-opening and gate-closing times, centre name and address, any scribe details, and the exam-day instructions. Contact SSC if you find a discrepancy.

Documents and exam-centre instructions

Carry a printed admit card, an original valid photo identity document and a recent passport-size photograph. If the photo ID does not show the candidate’s date of birth, carry a separate date-of-birth proof. Commonly accepted photo IDs listed in the notice are Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving Licence and Passport. Candidates who could not complete Aadhaar authentication must take at least two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID showing their date of birth, and report two hours before the examination.

Do not take unauthorised items into the exam hall. The listed prohibited items include mobile phones, smartwatches and wristwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pen drives and other storage devices, communication devices, books, notes, printed papers and study materials, bags, wallets, handbags, and other electronic gadgets that could be used for unfair means. Follow the final permitted and prohibited item instructions printed on the admit card.

Confirm the centre address in advance and plan your journey using the city slip and admit card. Follow instructions from examination staff, arrive before the gate-closing time, and keep the admit card safe after the test because it may be needed during later stages of recruitment.

Registered candidates should download and review their hall ticket as soon as it becomes available for their exam date, and print it well before travelling to the examination centre.
