CG Vyapam Lecturer Recruitment 2026

The Directorate of Public Instruction (Lok Shikshan Sanchalanalaya), Chhattisgarh, has opened direct recruitment for Lecturer (Vyakhyata) posts in government schools under the E and T cadres. The opportunity is for eligible Chhattisgarh local residents with a relevant postgraduate qualification and B.Ed. who wish to take up a Gazetted Class II teaching post.

There are 854 vacancies across eight subjects, with 424 posts in the E cadre and 430 in the T cadre. Online applications are scheduled from 29 September to 26 October 2026, and the written recruitment examination is tentatively set for 29 November 2026. Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree, or equivalent qualification, in second division in the relevant subject from a recognised university or institute, along with a B.Ed. The required qualification must be held by the last date for online applications. The accepted postgraduate subjects are:

A local resident certificate of Chhattisgarh is required. Reservation benefits for women and PwD candidates are restricted to Chhattisgarh local residents. Candidates may apply for only one subject; applications for multiple subjects will be treated as invalid.

Age Limit

The basic age range is 21 to 35 years, calculated as of 1 January 2026. The notification provides up to five years of relaxation for Chhattisgarh SC, ST and OBC candidates in the non-creamy layer, and up to ten years for women candidates. PwD age relaxation is governed by General Administration Department instructions. Permanent and temporary Chhattisgarh government employees, as well as employees of state corporations and boards, may be considered up to the age of 38 years.

Up to five years of relaxation is also provided for recipients of the Shaheed Rajeev Pandey, Gundadhur, Maharaja Pravir Chand Bhanjdev or National Youth Award, and for a Savarna spouse in an awarded inter-caste married couple. Volunteer Home Guards may receive relaxation for their service period, up to eight years, subject to a maximum age of 38 years. The notification’s FAQ states that applicable relaxations can take the upper age limit to 45 years; candidates should check the detailed notice for the conditions relevant to their category.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed as Gazetted Class II Lecturers at Pay Matrix Level-09. The notification does not specify a numeric basic-pay range. Selection Process

A category-wise waiting list of at least one candidate and up to 25% of the vacancies will also be prepared, with a validity of nine months. PwD candidates will be examined by the District Medical Board before joining.
