Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical): Candidates must have either (a) a Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) with 5 years of post-qualification experience, or (b) a PhD with 2 years of post-qualification experience. For Engineering/IT/CS, the requirement is either a 4-year graduate degree with 5 years of experience after qualification, or a PG degree with 3 years of post-qualification experience, or a PhD.

Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): Candidates must have either (a) a Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) with 3 years of post-qualification experience, or (b) a PhD. For Engineering/IT/CS, the requirement is a 4-year graduate degree with 3 years of post-qualification experience.

Administrative Officer: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience under a Government Department/Statutory or Autonomous bodies/Universities/Public Sector Undertakings. Candidates should also have knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel). Alternatively, retired officers of the rank of Section Officer/Under Secretary to the Government of India may apply.

Field Officer: Candidates must have one of the following: (a) a Graduate degree in Public Health from a recognized university with 3 years of work experience from a recognized institution, or (b) a Master’s degree in Public Health, or (c) a Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) from a recognized institution.

Age Limit

Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical): Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of walk-in interview/written test. Age relaxation is applicable as per ICMR rules.

Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): Not exceeding 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per ICMR rules.

Administrative Officer: Not exceeding 50 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per ICMR rules.

Field Officer: Not exceeding 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per ICMR rules.

Selection Process

Selection for these temporary Project Human Resource positions will be carried out through application verification, followed by a walk-in interview and/or written test (if required), and document verification. The final merit list is prepared based on marks in the written test and interview; if a written test is not conducted, merit is prepared based on interview marks. Selected candidates must produce original certificates at the time of joining.

Walk-in interview/written test schedule (reporting window): Candidates must report within the given reporting time between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM at ICMR-NIHR, Gorakhpur. Reporting after the scheduled date/time will not be allowed to appear.
