BEL Deputy Engineer (E-II) Fixed Tenure Recruitment 2026

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Deputy Engineer (E-II Grade) on a Fixed Tenure Basis (FTE) for its Naval Systems (S&CS) SBU. The recruitment is open for engineering graduates in Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science disciplines. Selected candidates will be posted at Kochi.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a full-time B.E./B.Tech in one of the following disciplines: Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science, from an AICTE-approved college/institute or a recognized university.

For the required class of degree, the notification specifies: First Class for UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates, and Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Post-qualification experience is also mentioned: candidates should have 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in the respective discipline.

Age Limit

The age limit is specified as as on 2026-09-01. The upper age limits are: 28 years for General/EWS, 31 years for OBC (NCL) (with 3 years relaxation), and 33 years for SC/ST (with 5 years relaxation). For PwBD, the upper age limit is 38 years, with 10 years relaxation over and above category relaxation. For Ex-Servicemen, age relaxation is applicable as per Government guidelines.

Nationality requirement: candidates must be Indian nationals only.

The application fee is payable online. General, OBC, and EWS candidates are required to pay a fee, while SC/ST/PwBD and Ex-Servicemen are exempted.

Selection Process

The selection for Deputy Engineer (FTE) is a two-stage process. In Stage-I, eligible candidates will be called for a Written Test carrying 85 marks. In Stage-II, candidates will be shortlisted for an Interview based on their Written Test score in a 1:5 ratio (category-wise). The final selection will be determined based on performance in both the Written Test and the Interview.
