UTET 2026 Answer Key for Papers I and II

The Board of School Education Uttarakhand has published the provisional answer key for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2026. Candidates who sat UTET-I or UTET-II on 29 September can use the relevant PDF to review their responses and estimate their marks; the answer key is for an eligibility test, not a recruitment drive for a set number of posts.

The provisional keys were released on 5 October 2026 and can be accessed through the official UTET website. Candidates who believe an answer is incorrect may submit a challenge with supporting evidence during the objection period, although the start and closing dates and any applicable fee were not specified in the available notice. The board will review valid challenges before publishing the final key and result.

Important Dates

Vacancy Details

UTET is a qualifying teacher eligibility examination, not a recruitment notification. The update does not announce job vacancies or a post-wise vacancy distribution. UTET-I covers the primary level, Classes 1 to 5, while UTET-II covers the upper-primary level, Classes 6 to 8.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The answer-key update does not set out the educational qualifications required to sit UTET. Candidates should consult the official UTET 2026 examination notification for the applicable eligibility requirements. The test has two papers: UTET-I for the primary level and UTET-II for the upper-primary level.

Age Limit

No age limit or age-relaxation details are provided in the answer-key information. Refer to the official examination notification for any age-related criteria.

The source describes UTET as a qualifying examination. It notes that General category candidates generally require around 60% (90 out of 150) to qualify, while reserved-category relaxation is governed by Uttarakhand rules. However, the exact category-wise qualifying marks are not confirmed in this update and should be checked in the official notification.

Application Fee

No fee is specified for downloading the answer key. A fee may apply to an objection, but the amount is not stated in the available information. Check the official portal or notice for the objection fee and payment instructions before submitting a challenge.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official UTET website at ukutet.com.
2. Find the UTET 2026 answer-key link on the homepage and open it.
3. Select the paper you appeared for: UTET-I (Paper 1) or UTET-II (Paper 2).
4. If prompted, choose the question booklet series or set matching your examination.
5. Open the PDF, save it to your device and keep a copy for checking your answers.
6. To challenge an answer, use the portal’s answer-key objection link, sign in with your registration number and date of birth or password, select the question, enter the proposed answer and upload supporting evidence.
7. Pay an objection fee if the official portal requires one, submit the challenge, and save the confirmation. Submit within the official window; late challenges or objections without adequate proof may not be considered.

Selection Process

There is no recruitment selection process described because UTET is an eligibility test. For answer-key review, candidates may challenge provisional answers with evidence. The board’s subject experts review valid objections, revise the key if required, and then issue the final answer key. The result is to be prepared using the final key. The update states that each paper has 150 one-mark questions and no negative marking, so an estimated score can be calculated by counting correct responses; incorrect or unanswered questions do not reduce the score.

Candidates who appeared for UTET-I or UTET-II should check the correct paper key and monitor the official portal for the objection deadline, final key and result announcement.
