Selection Process
UPSSSC first shortlists candidates using their normalized PET-2025 score. Shortlisting is category-wise and is conducted at 15 times the number of vacancies. Shortlisted applicants then take the written examination, followed by document verification. Final selection is based on the written examination; post allocation takes account of merit, candidate preference, availability, qualification and age limit. If the written examination takes place in more than one shift, scores will be normalized.
Both examinations consist of one objective paper with 100 questions for 100 marks and a duration of two hours. A quarter mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
| Part | Subject | Questions and marks |
|---|---|---|
| Part 1 | Technical subject: Mechanical or Electrical | 65 |
| Part 2 | Computer and Information Technology, including contemporary technological developments | 15 |
| Part 3 | General information related to Uttar Pradesh | 20 |
| Total | 100 questions/marks; 2 hours |
Eligible candidates should select the correct advertisement for their qualification and complete the online application and fee payment by the applicable Mechanical or Electrical deadline.
