UP Cooperative Bank Special Selection 2026 Exam Schedule

The U.P. Co-operative Institutional Service Board (UPCISB), Lucknow has released the exam schedule for the Special Selection 2026 (Vishesh Chayan) for the Combined Co-operative Banking & Technical Services Exam. This recruitment is meant for eligible candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) of Uttar Pradesh, and the selection will be conducted through an online examination followed by further stages.

Under this special recruitment drive, a total of 116 vacancies are to be filled across District Cooperative Banks and the UP State Construction Cooperative Federation. The online application window is scheduled from 2026-03-25 to 2026-04-15, and applications are accepted online. The selection process includes a written/online examination, then document verification, and finally a medical examination. The exam schedule for the online examinations is spread over two days: September 7, 2026 and September 8, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Manager & Junior Manager: Candidates must have one of the following qualifications (as of the last date of application). They may possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with at least 55% marks, or a Bachelor’s Degree with a subject in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics with at least 55% marks along with a minimum ‘O’ level or equivalent qualification in Computer. Another acceptable option is a B.Tech/B.E. (CS/IT)/BCA/MCA with at least 55% marks, or BBA/MBA in Banking/Finance/HR from a UGC/AICTE recognized institution.

Assistant/Cashier (Banking Assistant/Clerical Staff): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with 55% marks from any recognized University, along with a minimum CCC certificate in computer.

Assistant/Typist: Candidates must have graduation from a recognized University with a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi and 40 words per minute in English, along with a minimum CCC certificate in computer.

Assistant Engineer (Civil): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.

Age Limit

Minimum age is 21 years, with the condition that the candidate must have been born on or after January 01, 2005. Maximum age is 40 years, with the condition that the candidate must have been born on or before January 01, 1986.

For Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities), the maximum age limit is 55 years, with the condition that the candidate must have been born on or before January 01, 1971.

Age relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit is allowed for SC/OBC candidates of U.P., state government employees, and skilled sportspersons of U.P.

3. Complete registration by entering basic details such as your name, contact number, and email address. After registration, note the registration ID and password.
4. Log in using the provided credentials and fill in the online application form with all required personal, educational, and category details.
5. Upload scanned copies of the required documents, including a recent photograph and signature, as specified in the application instructions.
6. Pay the online examination fee as per your category. The fee is to be deposited through the online system.
7. Review all details before final submission. Submit the form and download/print the final application form for future reference.

Selection Process

The recruitment selection is based on an online examination and subsequent stages. For Category-1 and Category-2 posts (Manager, Junior Manager, Assistant Engineer), the final selection is based on marks obtained in the Online Main Examination and an Interview (Personality Test). For Category-3 posts (Assistant/Cashier and Assistant/Typist), the final selection is based on marks obtained in the Online Main Examination and a Proficiency Test/Skill Test where it is treated as an essential qualification. If the number of applications is very high, the online examination may be conducted in two stages: a Preliminary Examination (qualifying in nature) followed by a Main Examination, and the Preliminary marks are not counted for final merit. After the written/online selection, the process also includes document verification and a medical examination.
