TSLPRB SI Recruitment 2026 (275 Vacancies)

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) has released the TSLPRB Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2026 notification on 29 July 2026. The recruitment is for direct appointment to Sub Inspector-level posts across Telangana Police, Telangana Special Protection Force, Fire & Disaster Response, and Prisons & Correctional Services. Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions can apply online through the official portal.

As per the notification issued under Rc. No. 225/Rect./Rect.-1/2026, a total of 275 vacancies have been announced for multiple posts including Sub Inspector of Police (Civil), Reserve Sub Inspector categories, Special Protection Force Sub Inspector, Station Fire Officer, and Deputy Jailor (Men and Women). The application process is online only, and the exact application start and closing dates are expected to be notified later through a press release on the official website. Selection will be conducted through a multi-stage process comprising a Preliminary Written Test, Physical Measurement/Efficiency Test, Final Written Examination, and Certificate Verification.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Degree awarded by a recognized university in India (established or incorporated by a Central Act, Provincial Act, or State Act), or an institution recognized by the UGC, or an equivalent qualification. The qualification must be valid as on the date of the notification, i.e., 29 July 2026.

For Post Code 17 (Station Fire Officer), candidates must additionally possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence as on the date of the notification.

Age Limit

The candidate’s age must be between 21 and 25 years as on 1 July 2026 (i.e., the candidate must have attained 21 years and must not have attained 25 years). In addition, the Government of Telangana has raised the upper age limit for uniformed services (Police, Fire Services, Prisons, and Special Protection Force Departments) by 5 years, subject to applicable rules.

Age relaxation is also provided as follows:

• Telangana State Government Employees: relaxation based on the length of regular service, subject to a maximum of 5 years.
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years in addition to the length of Armed Forces service.
• NCC Instructor: 3 years in addition to the length of NCC service (minimum 6 months as whole-time Instructor).
• SC, ST, BC, and EWS categories: 5 years relaxation.

Application Fee

The notification indicates that the application fee will be as designated in the online application portal and depends on the candidate’s category and local status. The following fee-related points are specified:

• OC and BC candidates with local status of Telangana State: fee is payable as designated in the online application for registration, processing, conduct of tests (PWT, PMT/PET, FWE, and Certificate Verification), and portal maintenance.
• SC and ST candidates local to Telangana State: concessional fee is payable as designated in the online application.
• All other candidates: fee is payable as designated in the online application.
• Applying for more than one TSLPRB notification within 3 months: the Physical Measurement Test/Physical Efficiency Test will be conducted only once, and the same scores will remain valid across all applied posts.
• Rebate for additional post applications among specified notifications dated 29.07.2026: a rebate of 50 per additional post is provided for Local SC/ST candidates, and 100 per additional post is provided for all other candidates.

How to Apply

1. Visit www.tgprb.in and complete registration using your Mobile Number as the User ID.
2. Select the relevant notification(s) and the post(s) you want to apply for. The applicable fee will be determined based on the posts selected.
3. Pay the application fee through the available online payment methods such as Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or other modes provided on the portal.
4. Submit Part-I of the online application. Upload a scanned copy of your passport size photograph and specimen signature combined as a single JPG file in the range of 30 KB to 100 KB.
5. Download and save a printout/PDF copy of the submitted Part-I Application Form for future reference.
6. Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test must revisit the website to submit Part-II of the application, along with scanned copies of certificates/documents, on dates that will be announced later.

Salary & Pay Scale

During the period of institutional training (for Post Codes 11 to 14 and 16), selected candidates will receive a stipend as fixed by the Government. After successful completion of training, candidates will be appointed to the regular post with the applicable pay scale mentioned above.

Selection Process

Selection for TSLPRB SI Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in the following stages: Preliminary Written Test (PWT), followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET), then Final Written Examination (FWE), and finally Certificate Verification. Candidates must qualify in each stage to proceed to the next.

• Preliminary Written Test (PWT): A single objective-type paper of 3 hours with 200 marks total. The paper includes Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability (100 questions) and General Studies (100 questions). Minimum qualifying marks are 30% for OCs (including EWS), 25% for BCs, and 20% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen. Negative marking of 20% of full marks applies for each wrong answer.
• Physical Measurement Test / Physical Efficiency Test (PMT/PET): The run event, height, and long jump/shot-put requirements vary by gender and post code, and some events are qualifying while others are marks-based (with normalization for specific post codes as stated in the notification).
• Final Written Examination (FWE): Four papers, each of 3 hours. Paper I includes English (objective 25 + descriptive 75). Paper II includes Telugu/Urdu (objective 25 + descriptive 75). Paper III covers Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability, and Paper IV covers General Studies. The marks distribution differs between Post Codes 11, 17, 18, 19 and Post Codes 12–14, 16 as per the notification.
• Certificate Verification: Candidates who qualify in the Final Written Examination are called for certificate verification, where original documents must be produced along with two sets of photocopies.
