TGPSC Manager (Engineering) Recruitment 2026

Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has issued Notification No. 04/OG/HM/2026 for the recruitment of Manager (Engineering) in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). Engineering graduates who meet the prescribed stream, age and other eligibility conditions can apply for these posts, which are assigned to Multi Zone-II.

The recruitment offers 130 vacancies, and the online application window runs from 23 September to 17 October 2026, closing at 5:00 PM. Candidates must complete One Time Registration (OTR) before submitting the online application. Selection is through an objective-type examination using CBRT or OMR, tentatively scheduled for December 2026, with merit based on examination marks and the stated category-wise qualifying thresholds.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a graduate degree in Engineering, and the result for the required qualification must have been declared by the concerned university by 18 September 2026, the notification date. The notified discipline allocation is 80% of posts for Civil Engineering, 15% for Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and 5% for CSE, IT or ECE Engineering. Candidates should ensure that their engineering discipline matches the allocation and requirements in the official notification.

Age Limit

The age is calculated as of 1 July 2026. Applicants must be at least 18 and no more than 44 years old on that date. The notification states that an eligible candidate should not have been born after 1 July 2008 for the minimum-age condition or before 2 July 1982 for the maximum-age condition.

Age relaxation is available as follows: SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates receive five years; persons with physical disabilities receive ten years; and Telangana State Government employees may receive up to five years, based on regular service. Employees of corporations, municipalities and similar bodies are not eligible for the government-employee relaxation. Ex-servicemen may receive three years plus the length of service in the armed forces, while eligible NCC instructors may receive three years plus the length of service in the NCC.

Application Fee

The application processing fee depends on the applicant category. An examination fee of 120 applies to applicants, but unemployed applicants are exempt from that examination fee. Employees of Central or State Government bodies, PSUs, corporations and other government-sector organisations must pay the prescribed examination fee. Fees already paid will not be refunded or adjusted in any circumstances.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online through TGPSC. A personal email address and mobile number are required; candidates should keep both active throughout the recruitment process because the Commission may use them for OTPs and further communication.

1. Create or use a valid personal email account and retain access to it through the recruitment process.
2. Visit the official TGPSC website and complete One Time Registration if you do not already have a TGPSC ID.
3. Open the application portal and log in using your TGPSC ID and date of birth. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Check the information retrieved from your OTR record, including your name, date of birth, education, community, gender, disability, ex-servicemen and sports details. Correct any applicable information as instructed in the portal.
5. Select an examination centre from the available options.
6. Preview the application carefully. If the details are correct, choose the save and payment option.
7. Pay the applicable fee using net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
8. Download the submitted application PDF and keep the Reference ID Number for future use.

Apply through the TGPSC Manager recruitment application portal. Candidates should submit well before the deadline rather than wait until the final day.

Salary & Pay Scale

The Manager (Engineering) post carries a pay scale of 54,220 to 133,630. The notification lists the scale in rupees as ₹54,220–₹1,33,630.

Selection Process

Selection is based on an objective-type examination conducted through CBRT or OMR. Candidates are ranked by their examination marks, and appointments are made in merit order against vacancies in the relevant engineering branch. Allotment is restricted to Multi Zone-II. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for OC, Sportspersons and EWS candidates; 35% for BC candidates; and 30% for SC, ST and PH candidates.

The examination has two papers. Paper I, General Studies and General Abilities, contains 150 questions for 150 marks and is scheduled for 150 minutes; it is bilingual in English and Telugu. Paper II covers the concerned subject, has 150 questions for 300 marks and is scheduled for 150 minutes; it is in English. The total examination carries 450 marks.

The examination is tentatively expected in December 2026. The notification lists Hyderabad, including HMDA jurisdiction, Nalgonda, Sangareddy and Mahaboobnagar as examination centres, or another centre as the Commission may decide.
