Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Botany, Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university or institute. Working knowledge of computers is also required. The recruitment is restricted to eligible SC/ST candidates who are Indian citizens. Candidates who have previously undergone training at any Spices Board office should not apply, whether or not they completed that training. A rank list will be used only if a selected candidate does not join by the stipulated date, or if a trainee dies or resigns during the first year from joining. The list remains valid for up to one year from publication of results unless a fresh notification for the same training is issued. The Board may alter or cancel the selection process, and its decisions on eligibility, tests and selection are final; canvassing is disqualifying. Providing false information or withholding material facts may result in cancellation of candidature.
