SCCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has released a recruitment notification for apprenticeship training slots for the year 2026-2027. The drive is for eligible candidates who have completed Engineering Graduate, Non-Engineering Graduate, or Diploma qualifications. Interested applicants must first register on the NATS 2.0 portal and then submit their application through the official SCCL apprenticeship portal.

In total, SCCL is offering 300 apprenticeship training seats across three categories: Engineering Graduate, Non-Engineering Graduate, and Diploma. The online application process begins on 2026-08-06 at 12:00 PM and closes on 2026-08-16 at 5:00 PM. Candidates must apply online and also submit hard copies at the designated MVTCs/GVTCs within the application window. Selection will be based on inter-seniority with reference to the year of passing and merit within that year, with priority given to SCCL/Retired Employee Children and PAF/PDF candidates as per prevailing practice.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must be Engineering Graduates, Non-Engineering Graduates, or Diploma holders. The qualifying examination must have been passed in one of the allowed years: 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026. If the qualifying examination was completed in any other year, the candidature will not be considered and will be rejected during scrutiny.

Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 2026-07-31. For the General category, candidates must be between 18 and 28 years. For SC/ST/BC candidates, the age limit is 18 to 33 years, with a relaxation of 5 years as specified in the notification.

Other conditions include the following: candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or are currently registered for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, in SCCL or any other organization are not eligible and must submit an undertaking to that effect. Additionally, candidates must have a bank account (or open one) with Union Bank of India (UBI) in any SCCL salary-disbursing branch, with Aadhaar linking, e-KYC, and DBT enabled. This is required because 50% of the stipend is transferred via NATS & BOAT, MoE, GoI through the DBT system.

Application Fee

The notification states that the registration fee is nil. No application fee is mentioned for applying through the SCCL portal or for submitting the application at the MVTC/GVTC counter.

How to Apply

1. Register on the NATS 2.0 portal at www.nats.education.gov.in and obtain a registration number by filling in the required fields and uploading the necessary certificate copies.
2. After reading the terms and conditions, submit the application through the official SCCL apprenticeship portal at www.scclmines.com/apprenticeship between 2026-08-06 (12:00 PM) and 2026-08-16 (5:00 PM).
3. Fill in all required details in the online application and upload a recent photograph along with the original certificate copies as required by the portal.
4. Submit the signed printout generated from the portal along with the NATS registration form, certificate copies, and the first page of the UBI bank account at the nearest Area Group/Mines Vocational Training Centre (GVTC/MVTC) within the application window.

Salary & Pay Scale

The stipend is shared equally: 50% is paid by SCCL and 50% is paid by BOAT (Southern Region)/NATS 2.0 under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The amount is credited directly into the apprentice’s Aadhaar-enabled bank account under the DBT system.

Selection Process

Selection will be done based on inter-seniority with reference to the year of passing and merit within that year. Priority is given to candidates belonging to “SCCL/Retired Employee Children” and “PAF/PDF” categories as per prevailing practice. The recruitment will follow local, caste, and EWS reservations as per SCCL’s extant policy; if any reserved-category slots remain vacant, they will be diverted to the open category. The notification also indicates preference for candidates with knowledge of AI, Systems, MS Office, and MS Excel. The first batch selection is expected to begin in the first week of September 2026 after scrutiny at the MVTCs.
