SBC Group C Recruitment 2026 (10 Posts) – Apply Online

Ship Building Centre (SBC), Visakhapatnam—an establishment under the Ministry of Defence (Research & Development)—has released a recruitment notification for General Central Service Group ‘C’ Technical/Non-Technical, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the required age limit and educational/technical qualifications as applicable, with eligibility assessed as on the closing date for receipt of online applications.

Educational Qualification

CA’A’ (Fitter): Candidates must have passed 10th Standard, along with ITI/NAC or an equivalent qualification in the required trade, and must also have 2 years of experience in the trade.

CH (Electrician): Candidates must have passed 10th Standard and possess a certificate from a recognized ITI in the required trade.

FED (OG) – Fire Engine Driver (Ordinary Grade): Candidates must hold a valid heavy motor vehicle driving license. They should also have knowledge of motor mechanism, at least 3 years of experience driving a heavy motor vehicle, and must have passed 10th Standard. Physical fitness for strenuous duties is required.

CMTD (OG) – Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade): Candidates must hold a valid light motor vehicle/motor car driving license. They should have knowledge of motor mechanism and at least 3 years of experience driving a motor car. Candidates must have passed 10th Standard. A heavy vehicle license is mentioned as desirable.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 18 to 27 years. Age is calculated as on the closing date for receipt of online applications. Relaxation in the upper age limit is available as per the notification rules for specific categories, including reserved categories and departmental candidates.

Selection Process
