Selection Process
SAIL will first scrutinise applications for compliance with the eligibility requirements. If applications for an engagement exceed five times the number of required candidates, the company may hold a computer-based test, aptitude test, general management test or psychometric test to shortlist applicants for personal interaction or interview in a 1:3 ratio. If fewer than five times the required number of applications are received, all candidates may be called for a personal interview. The test and interview dates will be announced on the SAIL website. Selected candidates must join as stated in their engagement offer. A level-wise merit panel may be used if an initially selected candidate does not join or leaves within six months; the panel remains valid for six months from approval.
Eligible Indian nationals should review the detailed advertisement and complete the online application, fee payment and document uploads before the closing date of 15 October 2026.
