Salary & Pay Scale
This recruitment is for apprenticeship training, and the notification does not specify a fixed stipend amount. The training period and stipend will be governed by the applicable rules and directives issued by the Railway Board. Hostel accommodation will not be provided, so selected candidates must arrange their own accommodation.
Selection Process
RRC/NWR will act as the nodal agency for receiving applications and preparing the merit list. The merit panel will be prepared using the simple average of the candidate’s Matriculation and ITI percentages in the relevant trade. Marks from all Matriculation subjects will count, while the ITI percentage will be taken from the provisional or final certificate. The final list will be prepared by division or unit, trade and community, in descending order of percentage, up to the number of available slots.
If candidates have equal marks, preference goes to the older candidate. If their dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier is ranked first. Candidates included in the final list must have their original testimonials verified and produce a medical certificate as specified in Annexure IV.
Training Conditions
Before training begins, each selected candidate—or their guardian if the candidate is a minor—must enter into a Contract of Apprenticeship with the employer. Completing training does not give an apprentice a right to absorption into the Railway, and the employer is not obliged to offer employment after the training period.
Eligible candidates should submit their online applications through the official RRC NWR website by 6 November 2026 at 23:59, allowing enough time to complete the form and upload the required documents.
