RPCAU Test Engineer and SRF Walk-in Recruitment 2026

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU), Pusa, Bihar, has announced a walk-in recruitment for one Test Engineer and one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under its Farm Machinery Testing Centre. Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Applicants must have an M.Tech. in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering and a four-year B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering. How to Apply

1. Download and print the application form in the prescribed proforma attached to the notification. Complete all relevant fields carefully and clearly write the name of the post being applied for.
2. Bring the completed and signed application form along with original documents and self-attested copies relating to your date of birth, educational qualifications and any experience claimed.
3. Carry two recent passport-size photographs, each no more than six months old as of the advertisement date, and five copies of an updated, signed short CV of no more than two pages.
4. If you are employed elsewhere, bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer.
5. Attend the walk-in interview at the Directorate of Research (DoR), RPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar, on 6 October 2026. The scheduled reporting time is 09:00 AM, and candidates should arrive at least 30 minutes earlier.

Only candidates shortlisted through screening will be permitted to attend the interview. RPCAU says the list of eligible candidates will be released on the day of the walk-in, and separate communication will not be sent. Incomplete or unsigned applications will be rejected. Salary & Pay Scale

The engagement is initially for one year, or until the relevant project ends or funds become unavailable, whichever occurs first. It may be extended for the remaining project period following periodic review and subject to satisfactory performance. These are project-linked contractual appointments and do not create a right to regular appointment or absorption at the university.

Selection Process

1. Screening: RPCAU will assess submitted details, including academic qualifications, experience, publications, achievements and awards, to shortlist applicants.
2. Qualifying or written test, if required: The university reserves the right to conduct a test to further shortlist candidates for interview.
3. Walk-in interview: Only candidates who pass the screening stage will be allowed to appear for the interview. The qualified-candidate list is to be released on the interview day.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. If unavoidable circumstances prevent the interview from taking place as scheduled, candidates may need to remain available the following day; no TA/DA claim will be accepted for that stay. Canvassing in any form may lead to disqualification. RPCAU also reserves the right to change eligibility or other conditions, increase or decrease vacancies, or decide not to fill a post. No interim correspondence will be entertained, and disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the Patna High Court.
