Physical Training Instructor (Primary Cadre) – Punjab PTI Recruitment 2026

The School Education Recruitment Directorate, Punjab has released the Punjab PTI Recruitment 2026 notification for the post of Physical Training Instructor (PTI) in the Primary Cadre. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed 10+2 along with at least a two-year Diploma or Certificate in Physical Education. The required qualification is Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) / Certificate in Physical Education (C.P.Ed) or an equivalent course under any other nomenclature. Candidates who are in the final year of their D.P.Ed/C.P.Ed diploma or certificate course are also eligible, provided they complete and pass the diploma by the date of the final recruitment merit list for this recruitment (the notification indicates this date is the date of the written test).

Age Limit

The age of applicants must be between 18 and 37 years as on 2026-01-01. The notification also provides age relaxations for specific categories. SC and Backward Class candidates with Punjab domicile get 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit. Punjab/other state/central government employees are eligible for extension of the upper age limit up to 45 years as on 2026-01-01. Widows and divorced women with Punjab domicile can apply with the upper age limit extended up to 40 years. Persons with Disability (Punjab domicile) are eligible for 10 years relaxation in the upper age limit. Ex-servicemen are eligible for relaxation equal to the service rendered, minus age, plus 3 years, subject to the applicable service rules.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed on a fixed monthly pay as per the Punjab State Elementary Education (PTI) Service Rules 2023 and its First Amendment Rules, 2025. During the probation period of 3 years, the fixed pay is 29200 per month, and it is stated as without allowances.

Selection Process
