Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID), a Maharatna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has announced Engineer Trainee recruitment for 2027 under Advertisement No. CC/03/2026. Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years as of 31 March 2027. For posts reserved for the relevant category, the stated relaxation is three years for OBC (NCL) candidates and five years for SC/ST candidates. Salary & Pay Scale

During the one-year training period, selected candidates will be placed in the IDA pay scale of 40000–3%–140000, with basic pay of 40000. The stated training package also includes IDA, HRA and perks at 12% of basic pay. The approximate annual CTC during training is 11.00 lakh.

After successfully completing training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in the E2 scale. The post-regularisation compensation package includes basic pay, dearness allowance, cafeteria-based perquisites and allowances, performance-related pay, company-leased accommodation or company quarters or HRA, monthly conveyance reimbursement, digital-services reimbursement, uniform, a laptop facility, provident fund, gratuity, pension, leave encashment, group insurance and group personal accident insurance.

Selected candidates must also sign a service agreement bond, complete the prescribed training and serve POWERGRID for at least three years thereafter. The stated bond amount is 500000 for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates, and 250000 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
