PGIMER Recruitment 2026 (60 Group A, B & C Posts)

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has released the Recruitment 2026 notification for a total of 60 vacancies across Group ‘C’ posts (57 vacancies) and Group ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ posts (3 vacancies) at PGI Satellite Centre, Sangrur. Candidates who meet the post-wise eligibility requirements can apply online during the notified application window.

The recruitment is scheduled to be conducted through an online Computer Based Test (CBT). An interview will be held only for Group ‘A’ posts, after the CBT. The notification is active, and eligible applicants are advised to complete their online application before the last date, 19th October 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions mentioned in the PGIMER Recruitment 2026 notification for the specific post they are applying for. Age Limit

Selection Process

Selection for PGIMER Recruitment 2026 will be based on an online Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an interview only for Group ‘A’ posts. The notification provides the marks distribution: for Group ‘A’ posts, the CBT carries 85 marks and the interview carries 15 marks, making a total of 100. For Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts, the CBT carries 100 marks and there is no interview stage, making the total 100.

The minimum qualifying marks are also specified. For General and EWS candidates, the qualifying mark is 40%. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, it is 35%. PwBD candidates are considered as per their caste category. Shortlisting criteria are provided as well: without a skill test, candidates are shortlisted at 3 times the number of posts plus ties; with a skill test, the shortlist is 5 times the number of posts plus ties.
