The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has released the PFRDA Grade A Recruitment 2026 notification for the post of Officer Grade ‘A’ (Assistant Manager). The recruitment is conducted for four streams—General, Research, Actuary, and Official Language (Rajbhasha). Eligible candidates can apply online through the PFRDA careers portal.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the educational qualification prescribed for the stream they apply for, as on 2026-07-31.
General stream: Candidates must have either a Master’s Degree/PG Diploma (minimum 2 years) in any discipline, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Additionally, candidates with professional qualifications are eligible, including ACA/FCA (ICAI), ACS/FCS (ICSI), ACMA/FCMA (ICMAI), or CFA (CFA Institute).
Research stream: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree/PG Diploma (minimum 2 years) in Economics/Commerce/Business Administration/Econometrics/Quantitative Economics and related fields; or in Finance/Quantitative Finance/International Finance and related fields; or in Statistics/Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data Analytics. Alternatively, candidates with a Master’s in Mathematics with a 1-year PG Diploma in Statistics or related subjects are eligible.
Actuary stream: Candidates must have graduation from a recognized University/Institute and must have passed or obtained exemption in all 7 ‘Core Principles’ subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) Examination.
Official Language (Rajbhasha) stream: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as a subject at Bachelor’s level; or a Master’s Degree in Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce with Hindi as a subject at Bachelor’s level; or a Master’s Degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation.
In addition to the above, candidates must be computer literate and conversant with MS-Office (Word and Excel). Candidates belonging to OBC ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled to OBC reservation and should indicate their category as ‘UR/GEN’.
Age Limit
A candidate must not have exceeded 30 years of age as on 2026-07-31. This means the candidate should be born on or after 1996-08-01.
Age relaxation: The notification provides relaxation as follows: SC/ST candidates get up to 5 years; OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get up to 3 years; Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) get 10 years whether the post is reserved or not. PwBD (OBC) candidates get 13 years where reserved for OBC, and PwBD (SC/ST) candidates get 15 years where reserved for SC/ST. Ex-Servicemen candidates get 5 years relaxation.

How to Apply
- Go to www.pfrda.org.in and open the Careers section.
- Open the notification titled “PFRDA Recruitment Exercise – Recruitment of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) – 2026” and click Apply Online.
- Choose Click Here for New Registration and enter your name, contact details, and email ID to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Use Save and Next to fill the application form in stages. Verify all details carefully before final submission.
- Upload the required scanned documents, including photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and the handwritten declaration, as per the prescribed specifications.
- Preview the application and click Complete Registration only after confirming that all details are correct, as changes are not permitted after completion.
- Proceed to the Payment tab and pay the fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, or Cash Card/Mobile Wallet.
- Click Submit and keep a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
If you apply for more than one stream, you must submit separate applications and pay the fee separately for each stream. In case of multiple submissions for the same stream, only the last valid application will be retained.

Selection Process
The selection is conducted in three stages: Phase-I (Online Screening Examination), Phase-II (Online Examination), and Phase-III (Interview). Phase-I consists of two papers: Paper 1 (for all streams) covering English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning, and General Awareness; and Paper 2 which differs by stream—Commerce/Accountancy/Management/Finance-related topics for the General stream, and a specialized subject related to the stream for Research/Actuary/Official Language streams. There is negative marking of 1/4th mark per wrong answer in both papers. Candidates must meet separate cut-offs in each paper and an aggregate cut-off to be shortlisted for Phase-II. Marks in Phase-I are used only for shortlisting and are not counted for final selection.
Phase-II is also an online examination with Paper 1 focusing on English (Descriptive) drafting skills and Paper 2 covering either the General stream syllabus or the specialized subject for Research/Actuary/Official Language streams. Negative marking of 1/4th mark per wrong answer applies in Paper 2. Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in Paper 2 will have Paper 1 evaluated. Candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for Phase-III in order of merit. Phase-III is an interview that can be attempted in Hindi or English. Final selection is based on total marks from Phase-II and Phase-III, with weightage of 85% for Phase-II and 15% for Phase-III.
