Selection Process

The selection process for Shipai (Peon) includes three stages: offline written examination (OMR), document verification, and interview. The written exam is an offline OMR test of 70 marks with 70 objective multiple-choice questions in Marathi, each carrying 1 mark, to be completed in 75 minutes. The syllabus and marks distribution are: Basic information on the three-tier structure of agricultural credit (20), Banking & Cooperation (15), General Knowledge & Current Affairs (15), Agriculture & Rural Economy (10), and Aptitude Test (10). Document verification will be done for shortlisted candidates in a 1:3 ratio of vacancies based on written exam marks, in seat-number order (not marks-rank order), and candidates must produce original documents. Finally, the interview carries 30 marks and evaluates personality, physical fitness, communication skills, basic knowledge of the bank, local knowledge of Pune district, service attitude, cooperative fundamental principles, and etiquette. The final merit list is prepared merit-wise out of 100 marks combining written exam and interview marks, and a waiting list of 20% of vacant posts is also prepared. The waiting list remains valid for one year from the date of declaration.
