Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, has announced recruitment for Professor and equivalent positions in its Teaching and Research Establishment. Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold the required degrees in the relevant discipline and satisfy the experience conditions. For Professor posts in Agricultural, Forestry, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Basic Science and Community Science, candidates need at least a second-class Bachelor’s degree in the applicable field with 55% marks or equivalent OGPA, a second-class Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA, and a Ph.D. in the concerned subject.
For Professor posts in Fishery Science, the required qualifications are a second-class Bachelor’s degree in Fishery Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA, a second-class Master’s degree in the concerned or a related subject with at least 55% marks, and a Ph.D. in the concerned subject. For Associate Director of Research, applicants need a second-class Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA, a second-class Master’s degree in any Agriculture Science subject with at least 55% marks, and a Ph.D. in any Agriculture Science subject. SC, ST and PwD candidates are eligible for a five-percentage-point relaxation in marks at Bachelor’s and Master’s degree level. PwD applicants must have a permanent disability of at least 40%.

How to Apply
- Visit the official OUAT website and download the advertisement, information sheet, API score card and prescribed application form.

Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed at Cell-1 of Level-14 of the pay matrix, with an initial monthly basic pay of 144200. Dearness Allowance and other allowances are payable as admissible under university rules. The stated retirement age is 60 years.
Selection Process
OUAT will assess candidates through an API score card followed by an interview and document verification. The API assessment covers academic qualifications, experience, teaching, research and extension work, publications, technologies, competitive research projects and recognition. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on API scores in a 1:4 ratio category-wise. Shortlisted candidates must attend the interview and document verification in Bhubaneswar at their own expense. Candidates must secure an overall minimum of 50% marks to qualify.
The notification describes a 100-mark assessment: academic qualifications carry 10 marks, experience beyond the minimum eligibility carries 5, teaching, research and extension carry 25, publications and technologies carry 30, competitive research projects handled carry 5, recognition carries 5, and the interview carries 20. For academic marks, candidates with 75% or more receive the full allocation of six marks for UG and four for PG; candidates below 75% receive four UG marks and two PG marks.
