The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the OPSC Assistant Agriculture Engineer (AAE) Recruitment 2026 notification under Advertisement No. 08 of 2026-27 (Notice No. 4661/PSC dated 19th August 2026). Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering from any University or Institution recognized by any State Government or the Government of India. The notification specifies that no other equivalent qualification will be accepted for this post.
Age Limit
The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 42 years as on 1st January 2026. This corresponds to a birth date not earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 2005.
The notification also provides age relaxation as per category. Candidates belonging to SEBC / SC / ST / Women / Ex-Servicemen are eligible for relaxation of 5 years. Persons with Disabilities with 40% or more permanent disability are eligible for relaxation of 10 years. Additionally, PwD candidates belonging to SEBC/SC/ST are eligible for cumulative relaxation of 15 years.

Note: The examination fee paid will be refunded only to those candidates who actually appear in both papers of the Written Examination. Applications without payment of examination fee (except SC/ST/PwD candidates) will be treated as incomplete and will be rejected.

Selection Process
The recruitment selection process comprises a Written Examination and a Personality Test (Interview). The written examination is conducted in MCQ format with two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II), evaluated through Optical Mark Recognition (OMR). The interview carries 25 marks. The select list is prepared category-wise based on the aggregate marks (out of 225) secured in the written examination and interview combined. If there is a tie, merit is determined first by marks in the written examination; if still equal, the older candidate is ranked higher. A provisional answer key is uploaded within 10 days of the examination, and candidates can raise objections through the applicable online mode.
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements should complete their online application between 28th August 2026 and 28th September 2026 (5:00 P.M.) to avoid last-minute issues. The written examination is scheduled for 1st November 2026 (Sunday).
