Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed either a B.Sc. Nursing or a GNM course from a nursing school or institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. In addition, candidates must be registered with the “Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ and Health Visitors’ Council”.

Age Limit

As on 2026-01-01, the candidate’s age must not exceed the maximum age limit specified for their category. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as mentioned in the notification. The maximum age limits are: Open Category (UR) up to 40 years; OBC/MOBC up to 43 years; SC/ST (P) and ST (H) up to 45 years; and PWD up to 50 years. The notification further states that SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation, OBC/MOBC candidates get 3 years relaxation, and PWD candidates get 10 years relaxation in the maximum age limit.
