Salary & Pay Scale

For regular appointments, the Assistant General Manager (Scale V) pay scale is INR 120940–3360/2–127660–3680/2–135020. The Manager (Scale III) pay scale is INR 85920–2680/5–99320–2980/2–105280. These scale notations include the stated increment amounts and stages.

The Deputy General Manager (Company Secretary) contract role carries consolidated remuneration of INR 350000 per month, with housing and conveyance provided as per entitlement. The contract period is three years.

For deputation appointments, the General Manager (IT) may opt for salary, perquisites and benefits from the parent organisation plus applicable deputation allowance, or the NHB TEG Scale VII package. The Deputy General Manager (HR) may choose the corresponding parent-organisation arrangement or NHB TEG Scale VI terms. Selection Process

NHB will assess applications and shortlist candidates using parameters decided by the bank. Meeting the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview call. If the number of eligible applicants is high, the bank may conduct preliminary screening followed by a Group Discussion to identify candidates for interview. Candidates must obtain the minimum interview marks to be considered for the final rank list. Final merit is prepared in descending order of interview scores within the relevant post and category; where candidates tie at the cut-off, the older candidate is ranked higher. The interview schedule will be notified later.

Eligible candidates should check the detailed notification and submit a complete online application, including fee payment where applicable, no later than October 18, 2026.
