MP Police SI Recruitment 2026 (504 Vacancies)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the educational qualifications prescribed for the respective posts. For Non-Technical posts, the required qualification for Subedar, Sub Inspector (SAF), and Sub Inspector (DEF) is a Graduate Degree from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification. For Technical posts, Sub Inspector (Arms) requires a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Technical University. For Sub Inspector (Photo/Q.D./Finger Print), the required qualification is a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit

The age limit for both Subedar and Sub Inspector (all categories) is 21 to 33 years as on the application closing date. The recruitment mentions Level-9 pay level for these posts, with the pay range stated as 36200 to 114800. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of Madhya Pradesh rules, and additional relaxation details are provided for MP domicile candidates.

Age relaxation for MP domicile candidates (maximum age limit):

Salary & Pay Scale

Selection Process

The selection process includes four stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Interview. In the Preliminary stage, the exam is objective type with 100 marks and a duration of 2 hours, and candidates are shortlisted for the Main Examination in a 1:10 ratio. The Main Examination consists of two papers (Paper I and Paper II), each carrying 300 marks and 2 hours duration, with negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer. Candidates who qualify in the written stages will be called for PET, where events include 800 meter race (40 marks), long jump (30 marks), and shot put (30 marks), totaling 100 marks; qualifying marks are 30 for Non-Technical posts and 20 for Technical posts. Finally, an Interview of 50 marks is conducted for candidates who qualify in all previous stages, and the final selection is based on Main Written Examination (600 marks), PET (100 marks), and Interview (50 marks), totaling 750 marks.
