The notification also identifies basic pay, dearness allowance, house rent allowance, medical benefits and other admissible allowances among the salary components; the final in-hand amount may depend on applicable allowances and deductions. Promotion opportunities are also listed.
Selection Process
Selection begins with a Hindi-language objective written examination. It has 100 questions for 100 marks and a duration of two hours. General Knowledge and Logical Knowledge account for 40 questions and marks; Intellectual Ability and Mental Aptitude for 30; and Science and Simple Arithmetic for 30. The stated standard is Class 8 level of the MP Board of Secondary Education. Each correct answer earns one mark, with no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered questions. Examinations may take place in multiple shifts, and scores will be normalised under MPESB rules.
Candidates proceeding to the second stage must undertake the Physical Efficiency Test and Trade Test. The PET table specifies an 800-metre race with a minimum of 20% marks for male candidates, three long-jump attempts, at least six chin-ups and 12 push-ups for male candidates, and at least 10 sit-ups. Chin-ups and push-ups are listed as not applicable to female candidates, although these advertised posts are restricted to male candidates. The practical driving Trade Test is qualifying in nature. Document verification follows; selected candidates must also attend medical and character verification when directed. Final merit is based on performance in the first-stage written examination (percentile), subject to qualifying the PET and Trade Test.
Biometric verification linked to Aadhaar will take place at the examination centre; candidates who fail verification will not be permitted to sit the examination. Bring a printed admit card and original photo identity proof, such as Voter ID, PAN card, Aadhaar card, Driving Licence or Passport. E-Aadhaar is not accepted unless verified by UIDAI. Mobile phones, calculators, log tables, electronic watches and other electronic devices are prohibited in the examination hall. Requests to change the examination date, time or venue will not be accepted.
All posts are in the Third and Executive category. Cadre or district allocation is based on candidate preference and merit rank, but candidates will not be posted in their home district. Selected candidates must complete at least five years of service in their allocated unit before becoming eligible for transfer. MPESB and the MP Police Department have final authority over eligibility, selection and examination conduct.
Eligible male candidates should review the official rulebook and submit a complete online application by 29 October 2026. Use the correction window, if needed, by 3 November 2026.
