Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL), a Government of Meghalaya undertaking, is recruiting Graduate (General Stream) Apprentices under Advertisement No. Me.E.C.L/HRDC/TRG-49/Pt-IV/2026-27/3. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a degree in the stream for which they apply: Arts, Law, Science or Commerce. The qualifying degree must have been completed in 2024, 2025 or 2026. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination before 2024 are not eligible. Applicants must also be residents of Meghalaya and have a valid NATS enrolment ID, obtained by registering with the Board of Practical Training through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme. Registration must be completed within three years after passing the qualifying examination. An active email address, mobile number and EPIC card are also required.
A graduate who has had one year or more of training or job experience after attaining the relevant qualification is generally ineligible for engagement under the Apprentices Act. A person whose earlier graduate apprenticeship contract was terminated cannot be engaged again under the Act without prior approval from the Apprenticeship Adviser. The notification also states that applicants with one year or more of job experience after passing the minimum qualifying examination are ineligible unless approved by the Apprentice Adviser of BOAT.
Age Limit
Applicants must be at least 18 and no more than 24 years old as on 31 May 2026. Age relaxation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disability and ex-servicemen is available under applicable Government of India rules.

Salary & Pay Scale
Selected apprentices will receive a stipend of INR 12,300 per month. The apprenticeship lasts one year from the date of the agreement. Trainees must attend regularly according to the training schedule and follow MeECL’s working hours and holidays. Leave is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961, and its amendments.
Selection Process
MeECL will first shortlist applications based on the stated eligibility conditions.
