Kerala High Court Gardener Recruitment 2026

The High Court of Kerala has released an official notification for the direct recruitment of Gardener posts. Eligible candidates can apply online through the recruitment portal of the High Court of Kerala. This recruitment is intended for candidates who meet the prescribed educational qualification and age criteria.

Under this recruitment drive, the High Court of Kerala will fill 5 vacancies for the post of Gardener. The online application process begins on 2026-08-24 and remains open until 2026-09-26 (including online fee remittance). Candidates must submit applications only through the online mode via www.hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in; no other application method is accepted. Selection will be conducted through interview only or written test and interview, depending on the number of valid applications received, along with document verification.

The High Court of Kerala has also stated that vacancies arising during the validity period of the ranked list will be filled from the same list. The ranked list will remain in force for a minimum period of one year and up to a maximum of two years from the date it comes into effect.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the Gardener post must have SSLC or equivalent qualification along with one of the following: a Diploma in Gardening or a relevant VHSE qualification. The notification specifies VHSE options such as Nursery Management and Ornamental Gardening, or VHSE-Agriculture (Plant Protection), or VHSE-Agriculture. A good physique is also required. Preference is given to candidates who have experience in horticulture and/or farm work.

Age Limit

The notification provides category-wise date of birth eligibility (both days inclusive):

Additional age relaxations are available for Ex-servicemen and differently abled candidates, and for widows, subject to the condition that the upper age limit must not exceed 50 years in any case. The notification mentions that differently abled candidates may get relaxation up to 15 years for Low Vision and Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and up to 10 years for other benchmark disability categories. Widows may be granted relaxation up to 5 years.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹600. The notification states that the fee is exempted for SC/ST and unemployed differently abled candidates.

How to Apply

2. Complete the One Time Registration using the relevant link on the website before starting your application.
3. Log in and update your My Profile with the required personal, educational, and other details. Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed guidelines.
4. From the dashboard, select Apply Now and proceed to fill in the application for the Gardener post.
5. Before final submission, carefully review the application preview. After submission, no changes can be made.
6. Pay the application fee (if applicable) using the available online or offline payment options. The application is considered incomplete without fee payment.
7. After submission, download and take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference. The printout does not need to be sent to the High Court.

Selection Process

Selection for the Gardener post will be based on the following stages, depending on the number of valid applications received:

• Interview only: If selection is based on interview alone, the total marks will be 50. The interview will assess theoretical and practical knowledge of gardening and suitability for the post. The minimum qualifying marks for inclusion in the ranked list is 20.
• Written test and interview: If selection is based on a written test and interview, the written test carries a maximum of 100 marks and the interview carries 10 marks. The written test will consist of 100 objective multiple-choice questions based on the syllabus for the Diploma in Gardening/VHSE courses. For every incorrect answer, 1/4 mark will be deducted. The test duration is 75 minutes, and the minimum qualifying marks for the ranked list is 40.
• Document verification: Candidates must produce original documents to verify age, qualification, community status, and other claims whenever called for.
