Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will undergo one year of training and receive a consolidated stipend of INR 34,200 per month. They will also be eligible for HRA at the applicable rate for their posting location if company bachelor accommodation is not provided; this HRA is calculated on the W-3 grade minimum pay of INR 22,000. Medical facilities for the trainee and dependent family members are available as applicable to W-3 grade employees.

After successful completion of training, trainees may be absorbed as Tradesmen in the relevant trade at W-3 grade, with a pay scale of INR 22,000–88,000. Regular appointees may receive Industrial Dearness Allowance, applicable HRA where company accommodation is not provided, other applicable allowances, annual increments, leave encashment, medical facilities, loans and advances, life insurance, incentives and uniforms under company rules. Post-superannuation benefits such as medical coverage, PF, gratuity and pension are also applicable under the relevant rules. The stated approximate annual CTC on appointment to the regular post is INR 650,000, based on 20% HRA for a Y-class city; actual CTC may vary by posting location.

Selection Process

Selection begins with a two-hour Computer Based Test conducted in one sitting. It has two sections: 100 multiple-choice questions on professional knowledge in the relevant trade or discipline, and 50 questions covering general knowledge, logical reasoning, numerical ability and English. Each correct response earns one mark; there is no negative marking, and unanswered questions receive no marks. Candidates in the General (UR) and EWS categories must secure at least 50% in each section, while SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates must secure at least 45% in each section.

Candidates who qualify in the CBT are called for the applicable Trade Test or Computer Proficiency Test in merit order, at a ratio of five candidates for each post. The Skill Test is qualifying only; a candidate who does not qualify cannot proceed, regardless of the CBT score. For candidates who pass it, final merit is based on CBT marks. Document verification is to be completed for provisionally selected candidates before offer letters are issued.

The CBT is planned at centres in Mumbai and Nagpur (Maharashtra); Bhubaneswar and Berhampur (Odisha); Trivandrum and Kochi (Kerala); Bhopal and Indore (Madhya Pradesh); Chennai and Nagercoil (Tamil Nadu); and Vishakhapatnam and Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh). Candidates can select two centres in order of preference, and the chosen centres cannot be changed after submitting the application.

Eligible candidates should check the official notification and submit a complete online application by 9 November 2026 at 18:00 HRS. Keep the application confirmation and supporting documents for later stages of the recruitment.
