Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the educational qualification requirements specified for the particular post they are applying for. The recruitment is for multiple roles, and the required degrees and specializations vary by grade and job function. Age Limit
The age limits are post-specific and are to be computed as on 2026-08-01. The minimum and maximum ages vary across roles. For instance, Manager (Branch Management) is 23 to 33 years, Manager (IT) is 25 to 35 years, Manager (Information Security) is 22 to 32 years, and Senior Manager roles generally range from 25 to 38 years depending on the specialization. Upper age relaxation is available as per extant Government guidelines. The notification provides the following relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get 3 years, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) get 10 years, persons affected by 1984 riots get 5 years, and Ex-servicemen (as defined) get 5 years. Additionally, cumulative age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates, subject to a maximum upper age limit of 50 years. The notification also states that there is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in the Officers’ cadre, but age relaxation is applicable.

In addition to the pay scale, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, CCA, and other allowances as per the rules in force.
Selection Process
Selection will be made through an Online Examination followed by a Personal Interview. Only candidates who qualify in the Online Examination will be called for the Interview. The Online Examination is conducted in two different patterns depending on the post.
- Generalist Officer (Branch Management): The test includes English Language (25 questions, 25 marks, English medium, 30 minutes) and Professional Knowledge (75 questions, 75 marks, English & Hindi medium, 90 minutes), for a total of 100 questions/100 marks and a duration of 2 hours.
- All Other Posts (Scale I/II/III): The test includes English Language (25 questions, 25 marks, English medium, 30 minutes), General Awareness (Banking Industry) (25 questions, 25 marks, English medium, 30 minutes), and Professional Knowledge (post-specific) (50 questions, 50 marks, English medium, 60 minutes), for a total of 100 questions/100 marks and a duration of 2 hours.
There is no minimum qualifying mark for the General Awareness and English Language sections. However, candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks overall: 35% for unreserved candidates and 30% for reserved candidates in the Online Examination. The notification also specifies a penalty of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer; unattempted questions carry no penalty.
The Interview carries a maximum of 100 marks and evaluates Role-related Industry Exposure, Subject Knowledge, and Communication Skills. Minimum qualifying marks in the Interview are 50% for unreserved candidates and 45% for reserved candidates. The final merit list is prepared with 80% weightage for the Online Examination and 20% weightage for the Interview.
