IIM Mumbai Academic Associate Recruitment 2026

The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) has invited applications for Academic Associate positions under Advertisement No. Admn/Rectt/2026/36. Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree, MBA or a two-year postgraduate diploma in a relevant or allied discipline from a recognised university or institution. A minimum of 60% marks throughout the academic years, or an equivalent CGPA, is required. The qualification should match the academic area for which the candidate is being considered. Candidates pursuing or holding a Ph.D. in Management or a relevant allied discipline may also be considered, subject to the prescribed requirements.

Age Limit

The maximum age is 32 years, calculated as of the application closing date. The limit may be extended to 35 years for Ph.D. holders or candidates with relevant experience. Additional category-based relaxations are provided under Central Government rules, subject to the applicable reservation conditions and submission of the required certificates: up to five years for SC or ST candidates where posts are reserved for those categories; up to three years for eligible OBC candidates where posts are reserved for OBC candidates; 10 years for PwBD candidates whether or not the post is reserved; 13 years for PwBD candidates from OBC where vacancies are reserved for OBC; and 15 years for PwBD candidates from SC or ST where vacancies are reserved for those categories.

Salary & Pay Scale

The monthly stipend depends on the candidate’s qualification. Postgraduates are eligible for a stipend of INR 45,000 to INR 55,000 per month, while Ph.D. degree holders are eligible for INR 60,000 to INR 70,000 per month. The notification also lists monthly allowances of INR 8,000 for housing, INR 2,000 for travel and INR 500 for mobile reimbursement.
