Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued Advertisement No. 69/2026/Admn. for recruitment to non-teaching posts, including Assistant Director, Technical Manager and Technical Assistant. Educational Qualification

The listed technical roles require a B.E. or B.Tech. in Computer Science or Information Technology, an M.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology, or an MCA from a recognised university or institute, with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. Age Limit

The upper age limits are 48 years for Assistant Director, 42 years for Technical Manager and 37 years for Technical Assistant. Age relaxation for government employees and ex-servicemen is governed by Government of India rules. IGNOU employees may receive upper-age relaxation under the university’s Recruitment and Promotion Rules.

Application Fee

The fee must be paid online. Applications submitted without the prescribed fee will be rejected. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted in any circumstances.

How to Apply

2. Arrange a valid personal email address and mobile number, and keep both active until the selection process is complete.
3. Visit the official IGNOU website at www.ignou.ac.in and complete the Online Recruitment Application Form.
4. Enter the requested information carefully and upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature and supporting documents in accordance with the application instructions.
5. Pay the applicable fee through the online payment facility.
6. Check the entered information and uploaded documents, then submit the online application before 2 November 2026 at 23:59:59.
7. Print the submitted application, sign it and attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents.
8. Send the signed printout and documents to the Recruitment Cell, Room No. 13, Block No. 7, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110068, so they reach the university by 12 November 2026.

IGNOU states that applications received through any mode other than online will not be accepted. An application from a candidate who does not meet the requirements may be rejected.

Salary & Pay Scale

The notification lists pay under Level 8 and Level 10 of the 7th CPC. Assistant Director and Technical Manager posts are shown in the pay scale of INR 15,600–39,100, while Technical Assistant posts are shown in the scale of INR 9,300–34,800.

Selection Process

IGNOU may shortlist candidates using merit, experience, a written test and/or a skill test, as applicable. If applications are received in large numbers, the university may set screening criteria based on qualifications, experience or other applicable measures to decide who is called for a computer-based test (CBT) or interview. The process may include a CBT, written test, skill test and interview, as relevant to the post, followed by verification of original documents. The university’s decisions on recruitment, eligibility, documents and the conduct of selection stages are final and binding on candidates.
