Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must be Indian citizens and hold the qualification required for their chosen post from a recognised board or institution. Class 10 and Class 12 boards must be recognised by COBSE, and applicable diploma qualifications must meet AICTE recognition requirements.

A Yantrik applicant who has not received the original diploma certificate before Stage-II may be required to provide a provisional certificate signed by the head of the relevant college or university. The original diploma must then be produced at Stage-III.
Age Limit
The eligible date-of-birth range depends on the post and batch. For Navik GD in both batches, candidates must have been born from 1 November 2005 to 1 May 2009. For Yantrik in batch 01/2027, the range is 1 May 2005 to 1 May 2009. Navik DB candidates in batch 02/2027 must have been born from 1 November 2005 to 1 October 2009, while the range for Hygienist-I in batch 02/2027 is 1 November 2002 to 1 October 2009.
Age relaxation is 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Applicants should verify the date-of-birth requirement for their specific post and batch.
Physical and Medical Requirements
Medical fitness is assessed by Defence Medical Officers under the standards applicable to enrolled personnel. The stated minimum height is 157 cm for male candidates and 152 cm for female candidates. Male candidates must have a chest measurement of at least 77 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Weight must be proportionate to height and age, hearing must be normal (a forced whisper should be audible from 6 metres with each ear), and candidates must have healthy gums and at least 14 dental points. Tattoos are allowed only in specified areas and subject to the applicable rules. Height relaxation may be available to candidates from specified regions and communities if they provide the required domicile certificate.

Salary & Pay Scale
The stated basic pay is 21,700 per month at Level 3 for Navik GD, Navik DB and Hygienist-I. Yantrik is placed at Level 5 with basic pay of 29,200 per month plus Yantrik Pay of 6,200. Selection Process
The four-stage process requires candidates to qualify at each applicable stage and meet the document and medical requirements. Stage-I is a computer-based examination with 100 questions for 100 marks, one mark per question and a duration of one hour. It is offered in Hindi and English, follows the syllabus specified by SSC and has no negative marking. The minimum qualifying marks are 40 for UR/EWS/OBC and 35 for SC/ST. Scores may be normalised if the exam is held in multiple shifts, and Stage-II shortlisting is based on Stage-I merit.
Stage-II includes document verification, a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), the qualifying Assessment and Adaptability Test, and recruitment medical examination. The PFT activities are performed consecutively without a break; failure in any one activity means failure in the PFT.
