Educational Qualification

HNBGU has specified different educational qualifications for each Non-Teaching Group ‘B’ post. Candidates must meet the minimum essential qualification for the post they apply for, as detailed in the recruitment notification.

Age Limit

The age limit varies by post. For most positions, the upper age limit is 35 years, while certain posts have an upper age limit of 40 years. Age relaxation will be provided as per DoPT/Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates, and for existing university employees as per HNBGU Cadre Recruitment Rules (including Clause 32-a).

• Assistant Engineer (Civil), Horticulturist, Assistant Information & Public Relation Officer: 40 years

Age is reckoned as on the last date of online application submission, i.e., 2026-09-16.

Application Fee

Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. If a candidate applies for more than one post, separate applications must be submitted and the fee must be paid separately for each post.

How to Apply

2. Register on the portal by entering basic personal details to generate your login credentials.
3. Log in using the credentials created during registration.
4. Open the “Non-Teaching Group ‘B’ Recruitment 2026” application link under the current notifications (Advt. No. HNBGU/RECT/NT/2026/55).
5. Select the “Apply Online” option and start filling the application form for the chosen post.
6. Enter personal details such as name, date of birth, and address, and provide educational qualification and experience details as required.
7. Follow the instructions shown on each page carefully while filling the form.
8. Keep scanned copies of required documents ready in high resolution and clearly readable format. Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 06 or Pay Level 07 as per the 7th CPC, depending on the post. The pay level mapping given in the notification is as follows.

Selection Process

The recruitment for Non-Teaching Group ‘B’ posts will involve the following stages: screening of applications by the screening committee, followed by a written test and/or skill test for posts such as Private Secretary and Personal Assistant (and wherever the university decides it is applicable). The notification also states that there will be no interview for Group ‘B’ posts carrying Grade Pay of 4600 or less, as per M.H.R.D. guidelines dated 22.12.2015. After the test stages, document verification (DV) will be conducted. The university may restrict the number of candidates called for the next stage based on qualification and experience when applications are large, and meeting the minimum essential qualification does not automatically guarantee a call.
