Hassan District Court Peon (Jawan) Recruitment 2026

The Principal District and Sessions Court, Hassan has released the Hassan District Court Peon (Jawan) Recruitment 2026 for 48 vacancies. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official Hassan District Court recruitment portal. The recruitment is suitable for applicants who have passed SSLC (10th) and can read and write Kannada.

This recruitment is being conducted under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Clerical and Other Posts) (Recruitment) Rules, 2021, following directions received from the Hon’ble Karnataka High Court. The online application process starts on 2026-08-19 and the last date to submit the online form is 2026-09-17 at 11:59 PM. Candidates must also complete fee payment by 2026-09-19 (via challan). Selection will be based on SSLC merit and an interview, and the final outcome is subject to the result of Writ Petition Nos. 200448/2025, 17968/2025 and 3145/2023 pending before the Hon’ble Karnataka High Court.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for Peon (Jawan) must have passed the SSLC (10th standard) examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, or an equivalent examination. The qualification must be obtained by the last date fixed for submission of the application.

Candidates must also be able to read and write the Kannada language.

Age Limit

The minimum age requirement is 18 years. The maximum age limit varies by reservation category, and age is to be considered as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications. The notification also mentions an additional relaxation of 5 years for visually impaired candidates across the categories.

The notification further states that, as per Government Order No. ಸಿಆಸುಇ 262 ಸೇನೆನಿ 2025, dated 2026-01-29, a one-time relaxation of 5 years has been granted in the maximum age limit for all categories of candidates participating in selection processes for notifications issued for direct recruitment up to 2027-12-31.

2. Go to the online recruitment application link for the Peon (Jawan) recruitment.
3. Read the notification and instructions carefully before starting the application.
4. Upload a recent colour photograph (size 5 cm x 3.6 cm; maximum 50 KB; JPG format; white background; unsigned).
5. Upload a scanned signature made in black ballpoint pen on white paper (size 2.5 cm x 7.5 cm; maximum 25 KB; JPG format).
6. Fill in all required details in the online form, including personal, educational and category information.
7. Pay the prescribed application fee through the SBI Collect link (as applicable).
8. Download and save a copy of the filled application and the fee receipt for future reference.
9. Keep the printout of the application and fee receipt until the recruitment process is complete, and produce it during the qualifying test/interview as required.

The notification states that only online applications will be accepted. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed under a probation period of 2 years as per the Karnataka Civil Services (Probation) Rules, 1977. During probation, candidates must pass the prescribed departmental examinations and the Kannada language test.

Selection Process

Selection for the Peon (Jawan) post will be conducted as per the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules and the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Clerical and Other Posts) Recruitment Rules, 1982, along with the amendment rules of 2007 and 2021. The process includes the following stages:

• Merit List (SSLC-based): Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in the SSLC examination. Shortlisting for interview will be done in the ratio of 1:10 against the number of notified vacancies.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview to assess proficiency and general knowledge. The interview carries a maximum of 10 marks.
• Final Selection: Final selection will be based on the marks scored in the interview.
