Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Wireman course from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI). In addition, candidates should have knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, and English languages. Candidates must also possess knowledge of computers as prescribed by the Government.
Age Limit
The age limit is as on the last date of the online application. For General and all categories, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 35 years.
Age relaxation is provided as follows: Ex-Servicemen (for General/SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) will get relaxation equal to the military service rendered plus 3 years. Ex-Servicemen (District Courts & other High Court employees) will get relaxation as per the relevant point (2) mentioned in the notification. Women candidates will get 5 years relaxation. Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) will get 10 years relaxation.
For District Courts and other High Court employees, a maximum age relaxation of 5 years or the actual period of service rendered, whichever is less, will be granted. This relaxation applies to both reserved and unreserved category candidates.

Selection Process
Selection for the Wireman (Group-C) post will be based on two stages. First, candidates will appear for an Elimination Test consisting of objective-type MCQs. The elimination test carries 100 marks, has a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes), and the question paper language is Gujarati (with technical terms possibly in English). Negative marking is applicable: 0.33 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer or for selecting multiple answers. The MCQ syllabus includes General Knowledge, knowledge of Gujarati and English language, Computer Knowledge, and Wireman Trade Knowledge.
Second, candidates will be evaluated in a Practical (Skill) Test carrying 100 marks. The venue will be decided as Ahmedabad or another centre depending on the number of candidates. Minimum qualifying marks are 45% for PwBD candidates and 50% for all other candidates. Candidates must download the e-call letter from the HC-OJAS portal one week before the respective exam.
The selection list and waiting list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Practical (Skill) Test and merit. The waiting list is prepared for 1 post and remains valid for 3 months from the date of publication. Candidates who qualify or appear in the selection/waiting list do not automatically get a right to appointment. If a selected candidate does not accept the appointment within the stipulated time as per the prescribed conditions, the right to appointment will be forfeited and the post will be offered to candidates from the waiting list.
