The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 is a national-level examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on behalf of the National Coordination Board, Ministry of Education, Government of India. IIT Madras is the organizing institute for GATE 2027. Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy the educational eligibility conditions before submitting the GATE 2027 application. Eligible candidates include those currently studying in the 3rd or higher year of any undergraduate degree program, or those who have already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities.
Also eligible are candidates currently studying in the 5th/6th/7th or higher semester, or candidates who have already completed degrees such as M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.V.Sc., or B.Sc. (Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry).
Candidates holding certification from recognized professional societies (including the Institution of Engineers (India), Institution of Civil Engineers, IETE, Aeronautical Society of India, IIChE, IIM, and IIIE) are eligible if the certification is approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Planning.
Candidates pursuing or holding a qualifying degree from outside India must be in the 3rd or higher year, or must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration in a relevant discipline.

Selection Process
