FACT Engineer (IT) Fixed-Term Recruitment 2026

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a Schedule ‘A’ multi-divisional Central Public Sector Enterprise, has issued Notification No. 7/2026 for Engineer (IT) engagement on a fixed-tenure contract on an adhoc basis. Indian citizens who completed the specified apprenticeship at FACT’s Training & Development Centre and meet the age and qualification requirements should review the notification and apply.

The recruitment is for empanelment, and FACT has not stated a fixed number of positions; engagement will depend on the Company’s requirements. FACT is inviting applications to empanel eligible candidates for Engineer (IT) on a Fixed Tenure Contract (Adhoc Basis). The notification does not specify a numerical vacancy count; the number of engagements will depend on the Company’s requirements.

The initial engagement is for one year. At Management’s discretion, it may be renewed for a maximum period of three spells of one year each.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have successfully completed Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act at the FACT Training & Development Centre on or before 31 December 2025. The apprenticeship must be in a Degree (B.Tech/BE) discipline of Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, or Information Technology. The notification also lists a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) as a document to upload, as applicable to the specification.

Applicants claiming reservation or age relaxation must provide the relevant supporting documents. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PWBD candidates is applicable in accordance with Government directives. EWS applicants must submit the certificate for the relevant year, based on FY 2025–26 income for engagement during FY 2026–27. OBC-NCL applicants must provide both an OBC-NCL certificate and a self-declaration. PWBD applicants must submit a certificate issued by the prescribed authority under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017.

Age Limit

As on 1 October 2026, candidates must be above 18 years of age and less than 35 years. The stated upper-age relaxation is five years for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC-NCL candidates and ten years for PWBD candidates. The Standard X certificate showing the date of birth is the only document accepted as proof of date of birth.

Application Fee

The notification does not specify an application fee. Candidates should follow the instructions in the official recruitment notice and application portal.

How to Apply

1. Visit the FACT website and go to Careers > Job Openings > Recruitment Notification 7/2026.
2. Download the prescribed application form available with the notification. Fill it in manually, sign it and affix a photograph.
3. Complete the online application and upload the required documents in PDF format. These include the completed application form, Standard X certificate, B.Tech/BE pass certificate, Certificate of Proficiency (COP) as specified, and the FACT Training & Development Centre apprenticeship training certificate. Upload a caste, EWS or disability certificate when claiming the applicable reservation or relaxation, and include the OBC-NCL self-declaration where relevant.
4. Submit the online form no later than 14 October 2026. The notification states that applications missing essential documents, or an uploaded application form that has not been duly completed, may be rejected. Once submitted, an application is final and cannot be changed.
5. Send the original application form uploaded online, together with the relevant certificates and documents, by Speed Post or Registered Post so it reaches FACT by 22 October 2026. Address it to: AGM (HR) Est, HR Department, FEDO Building, FACT, Udyogamandal, PIN – 683 501.
6. Write this superscription on the envelope: “Application for the post of Engineer (IT) on FTCAB – Adv. 7/2026”.

Salary & Pay Scale

The consolidated pay is INR 31,000 per month. An annual increment of 3% of the consolidated pay is provided on successful completion of each year. Leave, ESI, Provident Fund, and TA and DA for duty travel are applicable subject to eligibility and the Company’s rules.

Selection Process

FACT will first conduct preliminary scrutiny of the submitted documents. Candidates will then be ranked using the criteria in this order: the earlier date of passing Apprenticeship training, followed by the Apprenticeship Token Number. Provisionally selected candidates must pass a pre-employment medical examination and be certified fit by the Company’s Medical Officer. Engagement is also subject to submission of a Police Clearance Certificate. Meeting the eligibility requirements or appearing on the panel does not by itself guarantee selection or engagement. No TA/DA is payable for attending the selection process.
