The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has issued Advertisement No. 04/2026 for recruitment to Delhi District Courts. Indian citizens who meet the post-specific education, skill and age requirements may apply for Senior Personal Assistant, Personal Assistant, Junior Judicial Assistant, Process Server or Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon posts.

The recruitment covers 641 tentative vacancies, including backlog vacancies, in the District & Sessions Courts and Family Courts. Applications are accepted online from 6 October 2026 at 12:00 noon until 4 November 2026 at 11:00 PM. The selection process is expected to include an objective written examination, applicable typing or shorthand skill tests, document verification and a medical examination where applicable.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must be Indian citizens. The required qualification must be held by the closing date, 4 November 2026. Senior Personal Assistant applicants need a graduate degree, shorthand speed of 110 words per minute and typing speed of 40 words per minute. Personal Assistant applicants need a graduate degree, shorthand speed of 100 words per minute, typing speed of 40 words per minute and computer knowledge. Junior Judicial Assistant applicants must be graduates and able to type at 40 words per minute on a computer.

For Process Server, candidates need Matriculation or Higher Secondary, a valid light motor vehicle (LMV) driving licence and two years of unblemished driving experience. Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon applicants must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognised board. No other experience is specified for these posts. The qualification and category certificate cut-off is 4 November 2026.

Age Limit

The age range for all five post types is 18 to 27 years as of 1 June 2026. Candidates must have been born between 2 June 1999 and 1 June 2008, inclusive. The 10th-standard Matriculation certificate is used to verify date of birth.

Upper-age relaxation is five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates of Delhi. PwBD relaxation is 10 years for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST candidates. Ex-Servicemen may receive relaxation equal to military service plus three years, subject to a maximum age of 55 years. Government employees receive no age relaxation under the DDC Rules, 2012.

  7. Pay the applicable fee through SBI e-Pay. Candidates with a fee exemption do not need to pay.

Selection Process

The stated selection stages are an objective-type multiple-choice written examination, a skill test where relevant to the post, document verification and a medical examination where applicable.
