Educational Qualification

Asstt. Manager (T) Trainee – Electrical: Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering (or an equivalent qualification such as Electrical/Electrical Power/Electrical & Electronics/Power Systems/Power Engineering) from a recognized university, with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA.

Asstt. Manager (T) Trainee – Non-Electrical: Candidates must hold a degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Science & Engineering (or an equivalent qualification) from a recognized university. The notice indicates qualifying marks with relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD categories.

Asstt. Manager (Civil) Trainee: Candidates must hold a degree in Civil Engineering (or an equivalent qualification). Two years of experience in design and construction of reinforced concrete structures, heavy machine foundations, and masonry structures is required. The notice also states that such experience in the mentioned areas is desirable.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years as on the last date for receipt of applications. Age relaxation is provided as follows: SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation, OBC (NCL) candidates get 3 years relaxation, and PwBD candidates get 10 years relaxation (as per cumulative relaxation wherever applicable). The application fee is non-refundable and is payable via Demand Draft only. The Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of “Delhi Transco Limited,” payable at New Delhi. No other payment mode is accepted.

3. Log in using the credentials created during registration to access the application form.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selection Process

Selection for the Assistant Manager (T) Trainee posts is entirely based on normalized GATE 2026 score (out of 100) in the relevant paper code. There is no separate written examination, group discussion, or interview. DTL prepares separate merit lists for the Electrical stream, Non-Electrical stream, and the Civil stream based on the normalized GATE 2026 scores. The notice also mentions cadre-related seniority rules: inter-se seniority in the AM(T) cadre is fixed in a 9:1 ratio between Electrical and Non-Electrical streams, while AM(Civil) Trainee forms a separate cadre with seniority strictly by merit order.
