Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the CSL PMIS 2026 internship seats must meet both the educational qualification requirements and the age limit specified for their respective trade/discipline category.

Educational Qualification

Age Limit

The age limit for CSL PMIS 2026 is between 18 and 25 years. The notification does not specify any additional age relaxation beyond this range.

Ineligibility Criteria: The following candidates are not eligible to apply under this scheme: (1) graduates/postgraduates from IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, IIITs, and IISc; (2) candidates holding qualifications such as CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MBA (or equivalent), MPhil, and PhD; (3) candidates currently undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship, or training program under a Central or State Government scheme; (4) candidates who have already completed apprenticeship/training under NATS or NAPS at any point; (5) candidates whose family income exceeds 12 lakh in the preceding financial year as on the date of application; and (6) candidates having a family member who is a permanent/regular government employee.

Selection Process

Selection for CSL PMIS 2026 will be carried out through the following steps. First, candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade/discipline. If there is a tie, relative merit will be decided based on seniority in age. Next, shortlisted candidates will receive an offer of internship training through the PMIS portal and will be required to appear for certificate verification on the date mentioned in the offer letter. During certificate verification, candidates must produce original certificates for proof of age, qualification, caste, disability (if any), along with self-attested copies. After successful verification, candidates will be provisionally inducted for internship training, subject to medical fitness.
