CSIR-NAL Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Recruitment 2026

CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) on a direct recruitment basis. Candidates must submit their applications only in physical/hard-copy form through Speed Post or Courier; applications sent by e-mail, hand delivery, or any other mode will not be considered. CSIR-NAL is filling a total of 6 Multi-Tasking Staff vacancies. The hard-copy application process begins on 2026-08-12 at 9:00 AM and the last date for receipt is 2026-09-21 up to 5:00 PM. Selection will be conducted through an OMR-based Objective-Type Multiple Choice Competitive Written Examination in Bengaluru only, followed by document verification. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed SSC/10th Standard from a recognized board.

Age Limit

The age limit is considered as on 2026-09-21 (the closing date for receipt of hard-copy applications). The minimum age is 18 years. The upper age limit is 25 years for UR candidates.

Important note: SC/ST or OBC(NCL) candidates applying against Unreserved (UR) posts will not be eligible for age relaxation. However, the notification states that application fee exemption remains applicable for SC/ST candidates even in such cases.

Application Fee

The application fee for eligible non-exempt categories is 500 INR and is non-refundable, payable only via Demand Draft. The Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of “The Director, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories”, payable at Bengaluru. Candidates should write their name and father’s name on the back of the Demand Draft. No other payment mode such as cash, online transfer, or IPO is accepted.

How to Apply

2. Fill out the application form as per the notification instructions.
3. Prepare a single envelope containing the duly filled application form, self-attested copies of all relevant certificates, and the Demand Draft (only if applicable as per fee category).
4. Superscribe the envelope as: “Application for the post of MTS, Advt. No. 11/2026”.
5. Send the envelope only through Speed Post or Courier to the address given in the notification.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-1 of the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC, with a pay range of 18000 to 56900 INR per month. In addition to the basic pay, candidates will be eligible for applicable allowances such as DA, HRA, and TA, along with other benefits admissible to CSIR employees, including NPS, medical facilities, LTC, and Children Education Allowance. The notification also states that selected candidates will be on probation for two years.

Selection Process

Selection for the Multi-Tasking Staff post will be carried out in the following stages: (1) screening of applications based on eligibility criteria, (2) an OMR-based Objective-Type Multiple Choice Competitive Written Examination conducted in Bengaluru only, and (3) document verification.
