Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the essential educational qualification as applicable to the discipline applied for. As per the notification, applicants should have either a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (minimum four-year course), or a Master’s Degree in a relevant Science discipline, or an MCA. Age Limit

Age eligibility is calculated as on the cut-off date of 2026-08-17. The upper age limits are as follows: UR/EWS candidates can apply up to 30 years; SC/ST candidates up to 35 years; and OBC (NCL) candidates up to 33 years. For PwBD categories, the upper age limits are higher: PwBD (UR) up to 40 years, PwBD (SC/ST) up to 45 years, and PwBD (OBC-NCL) up to 43 years. Salary & Pay Scale

The selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Matrix Level-10 under the 7th Central Pay Commission. The initial basic pay mentioned in the notification is 56100 per month. The post carries All India liability, and the selected candidate may be posted anywhere in India or outside India in the interest of the organisation.

Selection Process

Selection for the Scientist-B posts is carried out in stages.
