CSB Sericulture Assistant Recruitment 2026

The Central Silk Board (CSB), through its Institute for Seri-Biotechnological Research (CSB-ISBR) in Kodathi, Bangalore, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is recruiting a Sericulture Assistant (SA) on a contractual basis. Educational Qualification

Applicants must meet at least one of the following essential qualification routes for the Pre-Cocoon Sector:

• A three-year full-time degree in Sericulture.
• A four-year full-time degree in Sericulture.
• A three-year full-time degree followed by a postgraduate diploma in Sericulture.
• A three-year full-time degree in Biological Sciences, such as Zoology, Botany or Life Science, followed by a postgraduate diploma in Sericulture.
• A four-year full-time bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences.
• A three-year full-time bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, together with one year of experience in sericultural project work.

All qualifications must be awarded by a recognised university or institute.

Age Limit

The maximum age is 35 years, calculated as of 6 November 2026. The notification does not specify any age-relaxation provisions.
