The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly released the 2026 Class 12 Special Exam admit card for private candidates. The information also refers to Class 10 private candidates, so students should use the notice that matches their class, candidate category and examination.
According to the report, candidates can look for their hall ticket online through the official CBSE website. It mentions compartment, improvement, additional subject and failure candidates, but does not provide an examination timetable or confirm that the private-candidate admit card is the same as the admit card for the special examination in West Asia.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
The report does not state educational qualification requirements. It refers to private candidates appearing in Class 10 or Class 12 board examinations, including candidates in the compartment, improvement, additional subject and failure categories. Check the applicable CBSE examination notice to confirm that the admit card and instructions are for your examination.
Age Limit
No age limit or age relaxation information is provided in the report.
How to Apply
Use the following steps to look for and download the private-candidate admit card. The report does not confirm that the same process applies to candidates sitting the separate special examination in West Asia.
- Go to the official CBSE website at https://www.cbse.gov.in/.
- Look for the Private Candidates or Admit Card section and open the notice that corresponds to your examination.
- Select an available search method. The report says the portal may ask for an application number, a previous roll number and year, or candidate details.
- Enter the requested information and submit it to access the hall ticket.
- Download the admit card PDF and print a copy for the examination.
- Check your name, roll number, subject codes, examination date and centre name and address. Read the printed instructions, including any reporting-time or identification requirements.
If the relevant link is unavailable or you are unsure whether the notice covers your examination, check the latest official CBSE notice before relying on or using the hall ticket. Candidates appearing for the West Asia special examination should confirm the applicable notice separately.
Class 12 and Class 10 candidates who are covered by the relevant notice should download and check their admit card ahead of the examination, and follow the instructions issued by CBSE for their specific examination.
