BHEL Electronics Division Project Engineer (Fixed Tenure) Recruitment 2026

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Electronics Division, Bangalore, has released the BHEL Electronics Division Project Engineer Recruitment 2026 notification. BHEL is inviting applications for engagement of Project Engineers on a fixed tenure basis for a period of two years. Eligible candidates can apply online and should be prepared for posting at the Defence and Aerospace Business Group (DABG), ESD of BHEL-Electronics Division, Bangalore, or anywhere in India as per requirement.

This recruitment is for a total of 16 vacancies under Advertisement No. FTA 01/2026. The online application window remains open from 2026-08-08 to 2026-08-22. Applications must be submitted through the online application system only, followed by sending the printed application by post within the specified deadlines. Selection will be based on Personal Interview, with interview calls determined either for all eligible candidates (if the eligibility count is within 1:10 of vacancies) or by shortlisting using aggregate marks from the qualifying degree examination when the eligible applicant count is higher.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a full-time degree with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) or an equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all years/semesters from a recognized university or institution. The degree must be in one of the following disciplines: Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Computer Science.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 32 years as on 2026-08-01. The age limit is considered along with the requirement of minimum 12 months’ cumulative post-qualification relevant work experience. Age relaxation is available for eligible categories as per the recruitment notification, including OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC/ST, PwBD (General/OBC (NCL)/SC-ST), and candidates with J&K domicile for the specified period. Reservation and relaxation for Ex-Servicemen and EWS categories will be as per extant Government rules.

3. Pay the non-refundable processing fee of 236 INR online using SBI Collect (the link is provided on the website). SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disability are exempted from paying the fee.
4. In the online application form, enter the receipt/journal number generated by the bank after fee payment.
5. After successful submission, download/print the application format. The printed copy will include a unique acknowledgement number.
6. Send the printed application along with the fee receipt (wherever applicable) by post to the address given below.

Selection Process

Selection will be made through Personal Interview. If the number of eligible applicants for a post is up to 1:10 of the number of vacancies, Personal Interviews will be conducted for all eligible candidates. If the eligible applicant count exceeds the 1:10 ratio, the number of candidates called for interview will be restricted based on aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying degree examination. Shortlisted candidates will be informed individually via email about the Personal Interview. Candidates called for interview will be reimbursed second-class return train fare by the shortest route, subject to production and verification of train tickets.
