BEML Limited, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has released the BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification under Advertisement No. L&D/01/2026 dated 18 August 2026. The recruitment is for the engagement of apprentices across BEML’s manufacturing units located at Bangalore Complex, Mysore Complex, KGF Complex, and Palakkad Complex. Eligible candidates can apply online during the application window mentioned in this notification.

Note: The KGF Complex offers the highest number of slots (608), largely driven by Trade Apprentice categories such as Fitter (135), Turner (95), and Welder (85).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must apply for the apprenticeship trade/category for which they meet the required qualification as specified in the notification. The recruitment covers multiple streams and levels, including Graduate (Technical) for 4-year full-time engineering, Graduates (General) for 3-year full-time graduation, Diploma for 3-year full-time diploma, and ITI for full-time ITI trades. The notification also lists the relevant disciplines/subjects for each category (for example, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, and other specified engineering branches for technical graduates and diploma holders; and specified degree subjects for general graduates). How to Apply

1. Before applying on the BEML website, register on the relevant government apprenticeship portal: use NAPS for ITI candidates at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, or use NATS for Degree/Diploma in Engineering candidates at https://nats.education.gov.in.
2. Complete or update your profile on the NAPS/NATS portal by uploading all required documents.
3. After registration, obtain your NAPS/NATS registration/enrolment number.
4. Visit the BEML recruitment portal at https://recruitment.bemlindia.in and go to Apprentices → Login/Registration.
5. Fill the online application form with personal details, educational details, and bank details (including DBT-enabled information).
6. Upload scanned copies of the required documents along with your photograph and signature.
7. Submit the application. The notification allows only one application per trade per location. Multiple applications or applications for more than one location/trade will be rejected.
8. After submission, shortlisted candidates will be informed through registered email for document/certificate verification.

Salary & Pay Scale

The notification specifies monthly stipend amounts based on the apprenticeship category/qualification. The stipend ranges from 9600 to 12300 per month depending on the trade and qualification level.

Selection Process

Selection for BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is based on merit and document verification only. There is no written test and no interview. Applications are screened as per eligibility and prescribed qualifications, and category-wise merit lists are prepared for each trade at each location in a ratio of 1:5 against the number of training slots notified. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC(NCL) is applied as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. Shortlisted candidates are called for document/certificate verification through registered email, and no TA/DA is provided for attending the verification process. A provisional merit list is prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the final qualifying examination. Engagement offers are issued to eligible candidates subject to availability of training slots. Candidates not selected immediately are placed on a reserved waiting panel maintained at five times the training slot strength. Final engagement requires acceptance of a tri-partite apprenticeship contract on the NATS/NAPS website, along with submission of a medical fitness certificate and a police verification certificate.
