Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have at least a Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science from any recognized University/Institution. During the application process, candidates are required to upload relevant mark sheets/grade sheets for each semester/year showing the subjects, along with the final pass certificate.

Age Limit

The age limit is considered as on 2026-01-01 and varies by category. The category-wise age criteria are as follows: General (UR) candidates must be between 21 to 38 years. SC/ST candidates can apply up to 43 years (5 years relaxation). OBC/MOBC candidates can apply up to 41 years (3 years relaxation). Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates are eligible for 10 years relaxation irrespective of category. Ex-Servicemen (UR) candidates can apply up to 50 years. Ex-Servicemen (OBC/MOBC) candidates can apply up to 53 years (additional 3 years relaxation). Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) candidates can apply up to 55 years (additional 5 years relaxation).

Domicile requirement: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam. Proof of domicile must be uploaded in the form of either a valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purposes, or a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate. Either document is treated as valid proof of residency.

The Commission has discretion to reduce or increase the number of zones depending on candidate numbers.
